Dr. Yesenia Ramos was born and raised in Puerto Rico. As a young child, inspired by her own pediatrician, she decided to go into the field of Pediatrics. She obtained her Bachelor’s of Science as well as Medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico. Upon completion, she moved to Chicago, IL, where she completed her Pediatrics Residency. Dr. Ramos is Board Certified and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She practiced in Moline, IL prior to her move to Florida, where she was dedicated to an underserved population. Dr. Ramos then moved to Lakeland to join Lakeside Pediatrics. Dr Ramos has served as Chairperson of the Department of Pediatrics at Lakeland Regional Health and she currently maintains an active medical staff status there. In 2016, she became a mother, which has given her a new perspective in life as well as in her pediatric practice. In her spare time, she enjoys scrapbooking, cooking, watching soccer, and traveling with her husband and two daughters. Dr Ramos is fluent in English and Spanish.
