Rachel Brown, APRN
Although an East Tennessee native, Rachel Brown moved to Lakeland with her husband in 2013. She graduated from Carson-Newman College with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2008. Thereafter, she worked at University of Tennessee Medical Center in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for 3 years. She then transitioned into a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology position. In 2011, Mrs. Brown and her husband relocated to Jackson, Mississippi, for a time during which she again worked as a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology registered nurse (RN) at University of Mississippi Medical Center/Batson Children’s Hospital. In addition to her RN experience, Mrs. Brown achieved certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support and proficiency in chemotherapy administration. Mrs. Brown received her Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner degree from University of South Alabama in December 2014. After working one year in Family Medicine, she decided to return to her passion of working with children by joining the Lakeside Pediatrics Team in January 2016. Currently, Mrs. Brown enjoys running and spending time with her amazing husband and precious new daughter. Her family loves the community of Lakeland and desires to serve the children and families encompassed here.
